CREDIT CARD THEFT
If you use your credit card at a store, be aware of your surroundings and what is going on. A new avenue of capturing your credit card # , name and expiration date has surfaced.
While using your credit card at a store,
people with the new cell phone/camera are taking
pictures while standing behind you thus capturing all the information needed to
use your card.
So, be aware of your surroundings. Another
big issue with credit card theft is a wait person taking your card for payment,
going to the register and while gone with your card, running it
through a palm held scanner which captures all your info. off the card.
Patrons are now taking their own cards up and watching the process so that they
aren't getting scammed. Pass this on to friends and family so they don't become
victims.
